Gnip is a software startup building a variety of web infrastructure components that facilitate data portability. We are building our engineering team in Boulder, CO.
Our products are consumed via a variety of "web service" APIs that act as our primary interface to our customers (e.g. developers like you). From the back-end server implementation, to scripting language specific convenience libraries that leverage our APIs, the software we're building runs the gamut.
We are funded by the good folks at Foundry Group, First Round Capital, and SoftTech.
Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience.
We are looking for folks ready, willing, and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment. We take a pragmatic approach to building our software which requires a broad palette of language experience, framework understanding, and software environments. Corollary to this is one's ability to avoid emotional attachment to specific implementations or models; one size does not fit all. You'll need the ability to dive into new specs, protocols, and languages with ease. Fast learning is a must.
We are looking for folks who have consciousness around software development; practical, hands-on, application of academic know-how. We make decisions, as a team, based primarily on real-world situations, and secondarily on academic theory and standards body based specification.
We are looking for folks who can dive in and contribute in short order. If you feel you've got it all, or have expertise in a relevant subset of the areas described here, we'd like to .
